In times of peace, a fool may align with a few wealthy or powerful individuals, thinking they are the best allies. But the wise person builds trust and friendship with the broader masses — humble, loyal people who may not have wealth or status but will stand by you and even sacrifice for you when danger comes. Meanwhile, those few wealthy allies may abandon you when trouble arises."
